Terms and Conditions
1. Scope and seller
These terms apply to all purchases made through this website. Seller and contracting party is Jan Pleitner, Am Markt 4, 25840 Friedrichstadt, Germany, e-mail info@janpleitner.de.
2. Subject: unique editions
Each edition is a physical, signed and numbered art print (edition of 1). Only one work is on sale at any time. Once sold, a work remains visible in the public archive but cannot be purchased again.
3. How the price is determined — the wheel
The purchase price is determined by a wheel of fortune operated on our server. Its complete mechanics — number of fields, price range, probability (each field exactly 1/12), daily spin limit and cryptographic sealing of every result — are publicly documented on the page "The Wheel — laid open". You may buy after any spin at the price shown; spinning again replaces the previous result. The advertised minimum price is always one of the fields.
4. Conclusion of contract
The presentation of an edition on this website is not a binding offer. By completing the payment on the Stripe checkout page you place a binding order; the contract is concluded when we confirm the purchase by e-mail. The confirmation e-mail contains the essential contract data and your certificate link.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are final prices in euros and include statutory VAT. Shipping within the EU is free of charge; other destinations on request before purchase. Payment is processed by Stripe (card and the methods offered there). We never receive your full payment details.
6. Delivery
The work ships insured within 14 days of receipt of payment to the address you provide. Should a delay occur, we will inform you immediately.
7. Retention of title
The work remains our property until full payment has been received.
8. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Details and a model withdrawal form: Right of Withdrawal.
9. Warranty
The statutory warranty rights apply.
10. Authenticity and certificate
Every sold edition receives a certificate of authenticity with a public verification code. 10% of every sale price is donated to the support of emerging artists; all sales and donation amounts are published in the public transparency ledger. This donation is a voluntary self-commitment of the seller and does not constitute a tax-deductible donation by the buyer.
11. Dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
12. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Should individual clauses be invalid, the remainder stays in force.
The German version of these terms is authoritative.
